How BullBear Insights works — tab-by-tab reference

🚀
Quick Start — How to Find & Execute a Trade
Follow these 3 steps every morning before you trade
1
Dashboard — Read the market START HERE

Open the Dashboard and click Refresh Brief. It shows three things: the market's overall bias (Bullish/Bearish/Neutral), the regime (Trending vs Range/Chop), and the risk level. The TODAY'S STANCE card tells you what kind of trade to take — or whether to sit out.

⏳ TIMING RULE — DON'T TRADE THE OPEN
The first 15 minutes after market open (9:30–9:45 AM ET) are the most dangerous. Prices spike and reverse as algorithms and retail orders collide. The dashboard shows a warning during this window. Wait until 9:45 AM at minimum — ideally 10:00 AM — before entering any position.
👉 WHAT TO LOOK FOR
The Best Trade section at the bottom names a specific stock (e.g. AMD) with direction, entry, stop, and target. Write that ticker down — you'll use it in Steps 2 and 3.
2
Confirm Picks — Validate the stock PRO

Switch to the Confirm Picks tab. Your dashboard stocks (e.g. AMD, NVDA, AMZN) are already pre-filled. Click Confirm Picks and check the scores.

👉 HOW TO READ THE SCORES
+6 to +10 — Strong bullish momentum. Confirmed — proceed with a long setup.
+1 to +5 — Mild bullish lean. Proceed with smaller size or wait for confirmation.
Negative score — Bearish momentum. Reconsider or look at a short setup instead.
If the badge says CONFIRMING BIAS, your trade idea and the market are aligned — that's your green light. If it says DIVERGENCE, be cautious with size.
3
🎯 Trade Ideas — Get exact levels FREE (SPY) / PRO

Type your confirmed ticker (e.g. AMD) into the ticker box at the top, then switch to Trade Ideas. You'll get structured setups with specific entry zones, stop levels, and targets — plus the live Market Phase chart showing where price is in its current cycle.

👉 HOW TO USE THE SETUP
Use the Entry as your trigger price — don't chase above it. The Stop is your max loss point — size your position so hitting the stop = acceptable loss. The Target is where you take partial or full profit. The Market Phase chart tells you whether you're entering at the right point in the cycle — look for entries near phase lows (contraction), not phase highs (extension).
THE RULE
Dashboard tells you what to trade · Confirm Picks tells you whether to trade it · Trade Ideas tells you how to trade it

Dashboard
FREE — available to all users

Your trading desk view for the day. The Dashboard gives you the market-wide picture anchored to SPY — directional bias, market regime, risk mode, and the single best trade opportunity right now, with alternatives.

Best for: Starting your day, quickly understanding whether conditions favor going long, short, or sitting out.
🎯
Trade Ideas
FREE (SPY only) · Pro/Elite (any ticker)

Generates structured trade setups for any ticker with full specs: direction, entry zone, stop, target, and the reasoning behind each idea. Includes the live Market Phase chart — a real-time view of where price is in its contraction → expansion → trend cycle.

Best for: Getting specific, actionable setups with clear levels and context for why the trade makes sense now.
📡
Confirm Picks (Sentiment)
Pro & Elite

Validates your dashboard picks — not the whole market. Scores each stock from −10 (max bearish) to +10 (max bullish) using options flow, IV skew, and price action. Your dashboard tickers are pre-filled automatically. Use this before entering a trade to confirm momentum is real.

Best for: Step 2 of the workflow — confirming that AMD (or any pick) is actually showing bullish momentum before committing size.
📅
Earnings Analyzer
Pro & Elite

Calculates the options-implied move for an upcoming earnings event and ranks strategies by current conditions. Shows direction lean, premium assessment (cheap/fair/expensive vs historical), and expected post-earnings reaction.

Best for: Deciding how to play earnings — straddle, directional, or avoid — with data backing the choice.
🌍
Macro Map
Pro & Elite

Maps the macro regime — Fed stance, factor rotation, winning and losing sectors — and surfaces ETF plays and stock ideas aligned with the dominant macro theme. Useful context for sizing and sector selection.

Best for: Understanding which sectors and factors to favor this week, and filtering your setups through a macro lens.

How the Market Phase Cycle Works

Every trading day follows a repeating structural cycle that BullBear Insights tracks in real time using ATR (Average True Range) calculations:

CONTRACTION
Price coils in a tight range. ATR narrows. This is where levels are set — the zone high and low become your entry reference points.
EXPANSION
Price breaks out of the contraction zone with increased ATR. Directional bias is confirmed. Entry signals occur here.
TREND
Sustained directional move. Price runs to the first target (T1) and potentially the extended target (T2). Trail stops to protect gains.
LUNCH (12–2 PM ET)
Low-liquidity midday window. The system holds off on afternoon signals until at least 2 PM to avoid false breakouts.
HOW LEVELS ARE CALCULATED
ATR: Measures recent volatility (average candle range). Wider ATR = wider contraction zones and targets.
FMV (Fair Market Value): The midpoint of the contraction zone — where price is balanced. Acts as a magnet and mean-reversion reference.
Zone Width: Set at 1.8× the ATR from the FMV, giving a statistically meaningful range for a typical day's move.

Key Terms

ATR
Average True Range — a volatility measure that determines zone width, target distance, and stop placement. All levels scale proportionally with ATR.
FMV
Fair Market Value — the midpoint of the contraction zone, calculated from recent price structure. The most likely equilibrium price for the session.
GEX
Gamma Exposure — measures how much market makers need to hedge as price moves. High GEX = pinning effect near strikes. Low/negative GEX = amplified moves.
0DTE
Zero days to expiration options — expire today. High gamma, fast movement. Used for intraday scalps when conviction is high. Higher risk than 1DTE.
IV Skew
The difference in implied volatility between puts and calls at the same distance from the current price. Elevated put skew signals defensive positioning by the market.

Recommended Daily Workflow

1
Morning brief (Dashboard)
Open Dashboard before market open. Check directional bias, risk mode, and the Best Trade. This sets your day's framework — know whether you're hunting longs, shorts, or staying selective.
2
Pick your ticker (Trade Ideas)
Use the Scan button to find top movers, or enter a watchlist ticker. Run Trade Ideas and review the phase chart to see where price is in its cycle. Look for setups aligned with the Dashboard bias.
3
Get precise levels (TA Analysis)
Run TA Analysis on your chosen ticker for the live Options Scalping plan with specific 0DTE/1DTE contracts, entry, target, and stop. GEX tells you where market makers are positioned.
4
Confirm with sentiment (Sentiment Scanner)
Run your watchlist through Sentiment Scanner to confirm the trade direction has options flow backing it. High positive score on your ticker + bullish Dashboard bias = high-conviction long setup.
